Keepin' it Real

Top:  LOFT, gifted  /  Skirt:  Oui Petite, thrifted  /  Belt (Similar):  Thrifted   /  Shoes:  Mossimo for Target

I have no less than 10 old lady skirts in my closet, now that I 'have become' a thrifter.  There seem to be an abundance of these bright, funky skirts at my Goodwill.  Good thing for me, because I have been in love with patterns lately.  Blame it on the spring air, my new-found braveness for going bare-legged, or the addictive nature of thrifting.

I'm keepin' it real with the granny skirts, sans pantyhose.

p.s. This skirt is a bit weird.  See that pocket in the first photo?  That's the only one.  The other side is buttoned!  All the way down!  Plus, it seems a bit too long for my short stature.  A little hemming might be in order for it, but I think the button placement might dictate how short I can actually go.
We'll see how brave I get...

  1. Hahaha, I love that it has one pocket. That's part of the charm, right? You really do look lovely in this outfit and I'm jealous your Goodwill is chock full of so many skirts like this one!

  3. I love that skirt. I can never find anything cute thrifted. I'm just not that gifted as a shopper.

    1. I used to think the same thing about myself! It took a lot of trial and error to see the potential in thrifted items. Sometimes cool things stand out and sometimes you have to search a little. It takes time!
