Beauty Favorites: July 2014

July Beauty Favorites 1

It's favorites time!  Yay!  This month was all about eyeshadows and lip products

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

I had been waiting for this to show up in my Walgreens, and it finally did.  This 12-pan eyeshadow palette is $11.99.  Basically, $1 per shadow!  It has a good mix of cool- and warm-toned colors.  There are shimmery, satin, and matte textures.  And there are two shades that can be used as eyeliners.  In the past, I have not had a good experience with Maybelline eyeshadows.  I think that's because I had palettes that were all shimmer, thus the shades didn't blend very well and looked muddy on my lids.  This palette has a good variety of textures.  I also don't wear a lot of different shades on my lids all at once, so blending isn't an issue for me.  I have been so happy with this palette, I even brought it with me on a work trip this month.

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain

I did a review of these stains earlier this month.  You can check that out here.  I love this product.  I have three colors, a coral, a deep fuchsia, and this berry color.  I won't ramble on too much about them, since I've already done a review.

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick

I actually did not own this product for the entire month.  Molly, Angela, and I went shopping together and I picked this up at Sephora.  I also purchased a full size Bite Beauty lipstick in this formula.  Y'all.  This is the creamiest lipstick I've ever worn.  You can purchase the double-ended version for $12, or a full-size for $24.  The coolest thing is these are made of food-grade ingredients!

Milani Bella Eyes Eyeshadow

I spied these single eyeshadows at Walgreens this month, and I was enticed by the price.  These are only $3.99!  The color selection is amazing.  They have a ton of neutrals and bright shades.  These are so soft and creamy and don't crease when I wear a shadow primer underneath.  The neatest thing about these eyeshadows is that they actually start off as a gel.  They do something to the gel to make it into a powder, and voila!  The creamiest powder shadow you've ever used.

bareMinerals Mineral Veil

I've owned this for about a year but haven't used it much.  And, wow, this sets foundation so well.  Honestly, I used it over everything.  Powder foundation, cream foundation, liquid, ... even BB cream!  It's amazing.

Bourjois Illuminating Rice Powder

This was sent to me by the lovely Aine during our swap earlier this year.  I don't know how this is so illuminating, but I love it!

Laqa & Co. Lip Lube in Minotaur

I didn't think I was going to like this.  This is a sample from my July Birchbox.  The purple color was a bit scary to me, but it actually looks very nice on!  I would put a light pink lipstick over it to tone it down sometimes.

L'Oreal Glossy Balms

Another new product!  And another chubby-stick-esque product from the drug store!  This is a thick lip crayon that is glossy, creamy, and very pigmented.  I have this color, which is Innocent Coral, and Lovely Mocha.  Both colors are very, very pretty, although Lovely Mocha is my favorite.

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara

This was in my Beauty Box 5 box this month, and I didn't like it at first.  It's one of those mascaras that's very wet when you first open it.  To me, it's much (MUCH) better after it's dried a bit.  It's very bold and volumizing.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub

I purchased this from Elise, who I met at Molly's a couple months ago.  This scrub smells so good.  It has a warm, citrus scent.  I have been very impressed with its scrubby power, too.  It comes with a little scoop so you can mix together the oil and sea salt.  It's not only exfoliating but it moisturizes, too.  I don't use lotion if I've used this.

Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blush

This is the COOLEST blush I've ever used.  You can see it in action in my favorites video.  Basically, you unscrew the top and inside is a sponge stamper.... Does that make sense?  The bottom has the product in it.  You take the stamper, stamp it on your cheek (amazing), and then blend it out with a brush.  The color of the blush is the color of the packaging.  So, yeah.  It's very bright.  But,when it's blended out it looks like a natural flush on your cheeks.

And that's it for my favorites!  Now for the exciting part :)

This month, I am giving away:

+1 Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara
+1 Revlon Color Stay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights
+1 L'Oreal Glossy Balm in Lovely Mocha
