If you're like me, life is very busy and you have to steal little moments here and there for yourself. No matter what day it is, the time after lunch is what I like to call my 'quiet time.' Even if I can't actually have quiet time, for instance when I'm at work, I like to do something calming and rejuvenating like have a cup of tea. In fact, I have at least two cups of a tea day. It's my sweet escape.
That's why I was incredibly happy to hear that TAZO® was releasing their Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods in their Sweet Meets Spicy Collection. TAZO®'s Chai Latte has been my favorite chai tea for a very long time. If you've never tried it before, I highly recommend it. Chai is a black tea blend that's part sweet, part spicy, and totally unexpected. The spice blend consists of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and vanilla. It's delicious!
The TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods are super easy to use at home. The TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods come with a sweetened dairy blend that gives the tea a sweet, creamy taste. First, you empty the sweetened dairy blend into your mug.
Then, you use the TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pod Tea Blend. Make sure to use the 8 oz. setting on your Keurig®. I mistakenly used the biggest size, which I believe is either 10 oz or 12 oz and the flavor of the chai was not as strong. Once the chai tea blend has brewed into your mug, simply stir to mix the sweetened dairy blend and chai tea blend together. And then you're ready to escape for a few moments with your TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods and the 5,000 years of Indian history steeped in it.
To celebrate the release of their Sweet Meets Spicy Collection, TAZO® partnered with New York Times Bestselling author and host Padma Lakshmi. Tea and chai have been a part of Padma Lakshmi's life and she is excited to celebrate the flavors of chai with TAZO®. They sent me a small selection of recipes that she developed to pair perfectly with a cup of chai. You can find them here.
