Maybelline Color Blur Review

A while ago, I did a huge drugstore makeup haul.  I've been using the products from that haul and will be doing a few reviews here and there.  These new Maybelline Color Blur lip products caught my eye recently, and I've really enjoyed them!  I bought four colors and wanted to share my thoughts on them!

So, the idea behind these products are that you can control how sheer or opaque the lip color is.  The product is in a twisty/mechanical pencil form, which is nice since you don't have to sharpen it like a lip pencil.  It has a smudger on one end, so you can smooth the color over your lips.  For these photos, I applied the colors very heavily.  In the video below, I demonstrate how to apply it sheerly and then buff in to create a wash of color that is still quite pigmented.

As far as the colors, the Berry Misbehaved as been my favorite.  This product lasts quite a long time, all the way to lunch.  It does rub off after I've eaten food, but I expect that with most lip products. The color range is great, and I like the price point (around $8).  I've included links to additional color below.  At this price point, I can buy a good range of colors.  These have a matte finish, but they're not drying.  I can't stand when a matte product dries out my lips.  You'll most likely never see me mention a dry, matte product, unless I'm complaining about it.

Have you seen this product at the drugstores?  I would love to hear your thoughts on them!  Let me know what your favorite color is.
