KITCHEN SNEAK PEEK | Rug Pad USA Review

This rug pad was sent to me in exchange for a review.  I picked it out, and all opinions are mine alone.

As we finish rooms in our house, I plan on sharing our decorating style, where we shop for home items, and room tours.  I am so incredibly excited to embark on decorating our new home.  Home design and decor is actually a huge hobby for me, but since we were previously not living in our 'forever' home, home decor hasn't been at the top of my priority list for some time.

Well, rest assured, it's at the top of my priority list now!

Our kitchen is the first order of business.  In fact, I ordered some things for it before we even moved in.  I've shared my kitchen inspiration before, which outlines my whole idea for the style we're going for.  Our style definitely leans toward the modern farmhouse.  Before we moved in, I'd purchased the bar stools, rug, and curtains.  Honestly, the curtains haven't been hung yet.  The first order of business was the rug!

Since I've been collecting inspiration for our home, I've discovered the Safavieh rugs are gorgeous.  They are exactly my style.  I love the distressed look, and yet they still manage to look classy and kind of fancy.  They mesh my desire to have a pulled-together home that's comfortable to be in, if that makes sense.

I knew that we'd need a rug pad for this particular runner, because we really don't need anything slipping in the kitchen.  A while back, I was contacted by Rug Pad USA and asked if we'd like to try out one of their rug pads.  I couldn't say yes fast enough.

Let me tell you why.

One, I had no idea what brand of rug pads are good.  Honestly, I thought my only options were those ugly plastic ones at the store.  Two, these can be cut to the size of your rug.  How awesome is that?  Three, these rug pads are manufactured, packed, and shipped in the USA!  Their factory is actually in Connecticut.  Their goal is to offer high quality, sustainable alternatives to the imported plastic rug pads that are often loaded with unwanted chemicals.

They have a huge variety from which to choose. Since this runner is in a high traffic area, I wanted the best grip possible and the thinnest possible.  We went with the Anchor Grip pad.  I don't want anyone slipping or tripping!  We have been so happy with this rug pad.  It grips the rug so well that it doesn't budge at all.  It also doesn't add any thickness to the rug, which is exactly what I wanted.

And although I received this one in exchange for a review, I would absolutely pay full price for this rug pad.  There are not many things that I would pay full price for, but this is one of them.  Luckily, they run sales so I probably won't pay full price for the other rug pads in our house.  The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality.  And for something we walk on every single day, I'd say it's very worth it!

If you're in need of a rug pad, I 100% recommend the Anchor Grip pad.  As we buy rugs for other rooms in our house, I'll be looking at their other rug pads as well.  For example, there are some rooms where we won't need as much grip or we'll need a little more cushion.  Rug Pad USA has created a coupon code for my readers.  Use the code REBECCA123 for 5% off your total order!
