CRUELTY FREE BEAUTY | YOUR GOOD SKIN REVIEWS

These your Good Skin products were sent to me for review. All opinions are mine alone.

I am always on the hunt for new skincare products to try.  Ever since I was a teenager, skincare has been a lot of fun for me.  Teenage and adult acne are no stranger to me, so I always want to take really good care of my skin.  My skin has been pretty clear for a couple years, and I am so thankful for that.

My love for skincare knows no boundary.  High end, drugstore, and all the in between, I will try and review a lot of different products.  Just so you know a little bit about my skin, my skin is combination/oily, sensitive, and acne prone.  My skincare concerns are keeping my acne away (it's been great having clear skin, and I don't want any acne to come back!), keeping my skin balance, and hopefully treating my acne scars and sun damage one day.

The Your Good Skin line, which is available from Walgreens, is brand new to me.  I was sent five products.  The products are the comforting gel cleanser, the refreshing face wash, the day cream with SPF 30, the energizing facial scrub, and the balancing skin concentrate.  The goal of your Good Skin is to keep your skin balanced, and almost all of the products are formulated with green tea and vitamin C.  I have been using all of these Your Good Skin products for a couple months, and I've been very impressed with how my skin looks!

Whenever I try new products, I am obviously nervous about break outs.  That can happen, especially since my skin is sensitive.  Luckily, I did not break out at all with any of these products.  My skin looks just as good as when I use high end products.

YourGoodSkin SPF 30 Anti-Oxidant Day Cream, $12.99

I'm starting this off with the your Good Skin product that impressed me the most, which is the day cream.  I have always had the hardest time finding a day cream that doesn't break me out and doesn't make my makeup slide all over my face.  This cream soaks right into my skin and doesn't feel greasy.  I love that it has SPF, because I don't have to worry about applying a separate product to protect my skin from the sun.  Being that I have combination/oily skin, my t-zone typically gets oily during the day.  I won't say that it's not oily with this day cream, because by the time I leave work at 5 my t-zone could use some powder.  However, this day cream has really helped my skin look more balanced longer throughout the day than my other moisturizers have.

YourGoodSkin Energizing Facial Scrub, $8.49

If you're new to my skincare routine, I really love to exfoliate my skin.  My skin actually looks better when I exfoliate lightly every morning, so that is built into my routine now.  This Your Good Skin facial scrub is not as 'scrubby' as I am used to.  It's creamy, so your skin really feels moisturized at the same time.  I love that part of the scrub, because moisturizing your skin after exfoliating it is very important.  This feels like you're multitasking with the exfoliating particles and the creamy, hydrating texture.  If you like a very gentle exfoliation, then I definitely recommend this!

YourGoodSkin Comforting Gel Cleanser, $7.49

If you are a fan of cleansing balms, you definitely need to try this Your Good Skin gel cleanser!  This has all the makeup-melting properties of a cleansing balm, only it's contained in a bottle that you can squeeze it out of.  I love that I'm not digging into a little pot of cleansing balm, because this feels way more hygienic.  This melts away my makeup so well, that I have not been doing a double cleanse.

YourGoodSkin Refreshing Face Wash, $7.49

This is another great face wash.  It froths up a little when you apply it to your skin, but it's not drying at all.  If I ever feel like cleansing my face twice, this is the one I've been using.  If you need a basic facial cleanser, this your Good Skin face wash is for you.  I love that it has a pump, and it dispenses the perfect amount of cleanser.

YourGoodSkin Balancing Skin Concentrate, $19.99

This Your Good Skin product is kind of the star of the show.  This was the most expensive item I tried, at $19.99.  Basically, this is a serum that you apply twice a day.  It works to keep your skin balanced, which is exactly what I need!  Since I apply very minimal skincare in the morning, I have been using this only at night.

I literally can not tell you how impressed I've been with this.

But, I will try.

The main reason that I think my skin has been looking so good for the past couple years is that I've been using some very high end products at night to help my skin look it's best.  Whenever I've strayed away from those products, my break outs have returned.  It's been (1) wonderful to finally find a product that works on my skin and (2) frustrating that it's the only thing that's worked, because it's pricey.  I am happy to pay whatever to keep my skin healthy, but I've been exploring other products that are less expensive.

That's why I was so shocked that I literally saw no different in my skin between using my high end products and using the YourGoodSkin line.  My skin looks no different at all.  And that is amazing, because my skin was looking really great before!

So, even if you're not battling skincare issues, I can't recommend this skincare line enough.  It's absolutely amazing to me that my skin has not broken out, given how sensitive it is.  At the price points, it is such an awesome skincare line.  As someone who is trying to find cruelty free beauty products for my beauty routine, it's so great to find a skincare line at the drugstore that is not only affordable but also works!
