This is what I wore last Friday when I ran to Target with the kids. Literally, only when we ran to Target did I wear this. Once we got home, the belt and shoes were off. And later the sweater, too. Being with kids all day does not require a cute outfit. Going out in public does, though.
shirt: Ann Taylor Loft, handed down from a friend
belt: Liz Claiborne, via Goodwill
sweater: New York & Company from ages ago
jeans: Old Navy (sweetheart fit, boot cut)
flats (not picture): Madeline, handed down from a friend (black)
You might be wondering where the picture of my shoes is. Or the whole-outfit picture. Oh, and the other half of my face. This picture, my friends, is the result of a hectic morning during which I spontaneously decided I was going to do an OOTD picture. I took all of the pictures above — shoes, whole outfit, and a picture wherein my entire face was present. But they just didn’t meet my super high standards.
Actually, if you want the truth, there just wasn’t enough time to get it all just so. The kids were in the car waiting for me and the camera batteries were dying.
Maybe next time I’ll include my face!
