This was one of the more exciting products from my October birchbox. I have horrendously dry lips, which gets even worse during the dry months. In fact, I exfoliate my lips every night before I apply my night time chapstick. The only exfoliator I’ve ever used on my lips has been Mary Kays Satin Lips. This isn’t a review on that product, but I just have to say that it’s amazing.
Anyways. On to the Befine Lip Exfoliator. I found that this product left much to be desired as far exfoliating beads are concerned. There were exfoliating granuals, but they are few and far between. I feel like I used this more as a mask than as an exfoliator. To apply, I squeezed a pea-size amount on my ring finger. I rubbed into my lips and let it sit there for about two minutes. Then, I rinsed it off with water, patted my lips dry, and applied my chapstick. My lips feel almost as soft as they do with the Mary Kay Satin Lips.
Overall, I feel like this product is okay. It made my lips soft, but I wish it had more exfoliant properties. On the plus side, this sample size is huge! It’s going to last me a long time. This is probably not a product that I would purchase in a full size, but I am glad to have a backup for my when my usual exfoliator runs out.
