Oh, boy. This product is something I wish I had never come into contact with, but not for the reason you’re probably thinking! This moisturizer was amazing. AMAZING!
Straight from Birchbox’s website, this is what Caudalie’s Vinoperfect moisturizer does:
“ Grape-derived viniferine brightens, lightens, and evens out skin. The patented compound, derived from vine sap, is 62 times more effective than Vitamin C. Also in the mix: an exfoliating grape acid to slough off imperfections.”
Before I tried it, and after I read the description, I scoffed. ‘Uhh, that’s a lot for a little moisturizer to do. And over night!’ But, friends, it does it. My skin looked lovely after the first night of using it. I think the best way to describe it is that my skin looked clearer. I am very, very impressed with this. In addition, the smell is very nice and fresh. It smells like a fresh leaf. (Is that weird?)
Now, let’s talk about price. For a 30 mL bottle, it costs $68. Completely and utterly out of my price range (my current night time moisturizer is a $15 Aveeno that will probably last forever). I will, however, use my Birchbox points to purchase this if I ever rack up 600 points. (You know, if I can ever let my points accumulate that high without using them …. )
