Thrifty Thursday? More like Gifty Thursday!
(side note: you’ll notice that this is not Tuesday, it’s Thursday. after much deliberation (har har) and speaking with the hubby (really, it was more like ‘why not thrifty thursday?’ ‘i dunno… i think i was just eager to share what i bought on a friday. the next ‘t’ day was a tuesday’), I have moved my thrifty goodness to Thursday. I hope this doesn’t disrupt your plans too much. Now. On with the show.
Like I said, this Thursday is going to be a bit more gifty than thrifty. Back story: Before I went back to work after Christmas break, I had purged my closet of all the too-small (thank you, my dear children) and not-really-my-style-anymore clothes. I stuffed them into two huge bags for a coworker of mine. I brought them to her our first day back from break.
Little did I know that another one of our coworkers was bringing me two big bags of clothes that she was getting rid of. How cool is that? Isn’t that instant karma? I was super excited, and here’s why. She pretty much only shops at LOFT. Pretty much, as in all the time. She asked me to return the clothes I wasn’t going to keep so she could either pass them on to someone else or sell them. But, also that it was okay if I wanted everything. It was like Christmas all over again.
Five pairs of pants, one pair of jeans.
Khaki, grey, black, black, chambray-ish, and the jeans.
All LOFT.
Four pairs of capris (black, white, khaki, denim) and a denim skirt.
All LOFT .. again.
Six long sleeve, button up shirts.
Only thing that’s not LOFT is the patterned shirt. That’s Worthington.
Black, purple, blue, white, yellow/grey/white/black print, red.
Seven casual shirts (chartreuse, magenta, black, blue, white, teal, yellow) and a fancy tank top.
All LOFT.
Let’s talk about this tank. I have no idea what to do with it. In fact, I almost gave it back to her because I couldn’t envision it in an outfit. But, then I thought…. well, that’s never stopped me from purchasing something from Goodwill. So I kept it. I tried it with a black cardigan over it and the front looked good, but the back…
Oh, the back. This pretty little ditty got covered up. Also, the camera doesn’t show it well, but the whole tank is kind of sparkly. But not really sparkly … just-enough-sparkly. If you have any ideas as to what to do with it, I’m all ears.
p.s. I’ve already tried to google it (in order to find a picture of someone wearing it in an outfit … of course. Good lord, I hope no one would post a picture of themselves wearing just this.), to no avail.
