This is Thrifty Thursday is going to be brief and sweet. I was a tad more selective when I was shopping last week. I had quite a few items in my arms and slowly weeded it down to the things I was absolutely certain I would love. There was one top I regretted buying and I went back yesterday to see if it was still there. As I inspected it more closely, I noticed a stain on the front of it! Needless to say, I am glad that I didn’t purchase it the first time.
During this trip, I found a dress! I’ve found a couple dresses at Goodwill before, but in my opinion it is almost not worth the effort to rifle through all the church lady dresses to find one gem. This one happened to be on the end of the rack. It’s by Merona, and it feels like it’s never even been worn. There weren’t any tags with it, but the fabric doesn’t have that ‘washed’ feel to it. It feels like it just came straight off a Target hanger.
Here’s a closeup of the pleats (I think that’s what they would be called?).
This is a Worthington sweater. I’ve been looking for a brown, button-up cardigan, um… which this is not. But that’s okay. My brown cardigan has seen better days, so it’s going in my the Goodwill donation pile in my garage. I was a little hesitant to purchase this style of sweater, simply because I’ve seen it everywhere and (it seems) on everyone.
In fact, it reminds me of the Ikea couch comment in this video. (my apologies if the wirty dord in the title offends)
