You might remember from previous posts that I garden. I love going out in our backyard and digging around and planting things. Mostly, I plant things to eat but occasionally I will plant a flower. This doesn’t happen often, as it’s been proven year after year that I can keep veggies alive a lot easier than I can flowers. I have no idea why this is — you’d think it would be the other way around. In a post-apocalyptic world, I imagine that I’d be the gardener and the cook. With maybe a pharmacy on the side, if I’m being judged by how many pharmaceutical-type things I brought with us on our camping trip.
Anyway. I digress.
The pollen here is absolutely awful and there is nothing I am enjoying more than staying in our air-conditioned home with my seasonal allergy medication. I have not felt even an inkling of desire to plant a flower that will make me sneeze (which is probably best for the flowers, too). This cubist flower print is the closest thing I’m getting to blossoms right now.
