Hello, dear internet! I’ve missed you. Today, I bring you nothing but good news — no one was eaten by a bear (although there had been bear sightings!), there were hardly any mosquitoes, and not one of the children got lost or fell off a cliff or into a waterfall. Success!
We spent three days in the mountains sans cell phone signal and internet service. It was lovely! I would do it again, kids and all. It would’ve been better minus the rain, but it really wasn’t that bad. The whole experience was so much fun, and I can’t wait until we get the chance to do it again!
I’m still sorting through dirty laundry, a discombobulated kitchen, and I’ve lost my voice. I might have also lost my hearing (joking), because my ears are incredibly congested. My photo-a-day went by the wayside, mostly because I was busy packing on the 22nd and it was raining the night of the 23rd (the challenge was moon). By Saturday, I had forgotten it altogether, which was disappointing because the 24th was animal and we saw a wild turkey! I haven’t decided if I’m going to just pick up where I left off with it or forget it all together. I had kind of sort of thought it would be cool to do my camping outfits, but then I realized I didn’t want to post a picture of myself unshowered (and they weren’t really that interesting anyways).
I am going to take a couple days to get everything in order at the house and then get back on track with outfit pictures!
