Dress and cardigan thrifted, Scarf gifted
Y’awll. I am so excited. Today is my last day at work before my Christmas vacation/break. I have nearly two weeks off! This is so exciting, because I haven’t had this much time off in two years and that was for maternity leave. So, that wasn’t quite a vacation. 😛
I’m in the holliest of jolliest moods right now. We haven’t wrapped one dang thing to put under the Christmas tree, so we’re going to get on that tomorrow night. And we’ll be pulling out our favorite Christmas movies to watch while we do that, which are (in no particular order):
-Miracle on 34th Street
-Batman Returns (don’t laugh, it has a couple Christmas scenes)
-Home Alone 1 & 2
–The Muppet Christmas Carol
– Little Women (starts at Christmas, ends at Christmas. It’s a Christmas movie)
-Beauty and the Beast (see the note about Batman Returns)
–A Charlie Brown Christmas
-and loads others
We’re pretty serious about our Christmas movie watching around here. In fact, I think it’s time to work on our classic Christmas collection. For my birthday this month, the hubby purchased Miracle on 34th Street for me, and it struck a chord that we need older movies in our collection! We don’t have cable, and I miss AMC and TCM so, so much.
Tell me about your favorite Christmas movies! Did Batman Returns being on my list weird you out? It’s such a strange tradition of ours. Do you have any odd Christmas movie favorites?
I’m linking up with The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.
