Top and necklace were won in a giveaway, Button-up and pants were thrifted, Shoes were clearanced (ha!)
Ahh, polka dots. They are my jam. Apparently they were Smoky’s jam, too, because she was being extra love-y. The polka dots didn’t translate well in the photos, did they? Here’s proof that polka dots were present, from my Instagram:
I have a small-ish announcement to make. -ahem- In two days, I will officially be done with the first semester of my master’s program. I’m essentially done right now, but Wednesday is the actual last day of the semester. It’s amazing the things you miss when you’re extremely busy. I want to scrub to the house from top to bottom, clean out my closet, sort through all the boxes and bags from our Christmas shopping, and … oh, yeah… sleep!
I’ll also have more time to set up our Elf on a Shelf each night for the kids. In fact, I have a calendar to follow until Christmas. That’s right! Our Elf (her name is Lily) has a schedule of events. Gotta stay organized!
No, but really. My first priority is to clean out my closet. Anything that hasn’t been worn in a year is going to be sold or donated. Even shoes! Yup, shoes. I can’t believe I just said that. I also have quite a few home decorating projects to tackle, too.
I haven’t decided if I’m going to chronicle them here or not. We’ll see! Sometimes I get going with projects and forget to take pictures (thus the lack of projects posted on ye ole blog). My first couple projects will be to paint the doll house we’re giving to our daughter for Christmas and paint picture frames/rearrange our picture wall.
Hey! Don’t forget to enter my Christmas giveaway!!
I’m linking up with Molly and Carly for #YOLOMonday.
