Top sewn by me; Cardigan, pants, and shoes were thrifted
I present to you, my first (clothing) sewing project. A couple years ago, I got into sewing but never actually made anything. Much like I queue things ad nauseum on Ravelry, even though I never have time to knit.
Anyways. I digress.
I read an entire book on sewing called Sew U: Built by Wendy. If you’re ever in need of a basic sewing book, look up that one. It was very easy to read and understand, and it came with three patterns.
This top is also a Built by Wendy pattern from Simplicity (it’s 3835), and it was incredibly easy for a first-time project. I cut it out and sewed it within one evening. And! And. I got the fabric at Wal-Mart of all places. This was a very fun project, and I know it won’t be my last sewing project. Next up: a dress for our daughter.
I’m linking up with Carly and Molly for #YOLOMonday.
