It’s Birchbox time! You probably already know what Birchbox is, but in case you don’t you can learn more here.
Basically, it’s a makeup sample subscription service. Every month, you
receive 4-5 deluxe samples of high-end beauty and/or life style
products. I’ve received quite a few full-sized items, so it definitely
pays for itself. So, here we go…
This month’s theme is March Madness. Now, I’m not a very athletic person, nor am I interested in watch sports. But, a beauty face-off? I can do that. Birchbox will be hosting throw-downs on their Facebook this month. And they’ll have even have prizes! You should check it out.
Here’s what I got this month:
twistband Headband, $19 for 6
I was excited to get this headband. Last month, I almost ordered one, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I have a couple of hair bands with this same material, and they are the only things that keep my hair in a ponytail.
Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator, $34
This scrub contains enzymes and microcrystals that break down the bonds that hold dead skin together and buff your skin. It’s supposed to be as good as a professional microdermabrasion. It will also diminish the look of fine lines and scars. I tried it this evening, and you can color me impressed! Suggestion: use a pea-size amount like the website says. I used more than that, and it was way too much. I imagine this would last a long time.
Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream, $20
This shaving cream is made in the US and made with eco-friendly ingredients. This does not foam up like normal shaving cream. It’s a rich emollient lotion that softens your skin and protects against redness and irritation. And it smells so good, almost like cotton candy! I have the most sensitive skin on my legs, so I’m very excited to try this.
Madewell for Birchbox Nail Emery Board, $5
This was the extra item in my box, and I think it’s very cute. Worth the $5 price tag? Not really. But, cute and useful.
FusionBeauty LipFusion Infatuation Lip Fattener, $29
This is a lip plumping lip gloss that doesn’t contain irritants or silicones, so it doesn’t give you that tingly feeling that most lip plumping products cause. It has a refreshing sensation, and it’s kind of cooling. The science behind it? It’s supposed to enhance the natural fatty acids in your lips. You’re supposed to see results in 28 days.
