Can you believe it’s almost the end of the month? I’m back today with another makeup post, but this time it’s my favorite beauty products for March!
And here we go…
I’ll start with skin care items.
Pangea Organics French Rosemary with Sweet Orange Facial Toner, $26
Hautelook has Pangea Organics on their site occasionally and since I always use their toner for combination skin in the morning, I always keep my eye out for that sale. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered it on Hautelook, I was sent this one instead. This is for dry/sensitive/mature skin, which isn’t exactly my skin type. My skin is combination/oily, dehydrated, and sensitive. I was afraid that this would break me out. Luckily, it didn’t. I use this at night when I really ramp up the moisture. And, like their other toners, it smells awesome!
REN ClearCalm3 Replenish Night Serum, $30
Is it a secret that I love REN? Probably not. My skin is also prone to breakouts, and this serum is from REN’s acne-prone line. It rehydrates your skin, which is important since most acne treatments can dry out your skin like crazy. At least, I know mine gets that way! It also claims to calm skin, and reduce redness and scar pigmentation. I have noticed all three of those things with my skin, so this product is in my routine to stay!
Moving right along …
Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in Fair, $5.99
This was one of those ‘on a whim’ purchases that has become a staple for me. This is a highlighter and concealer in one. It comes in one of those squeeze tubes with a brush applicator. The application process is not my favorite, but I do suppose it’s more hygienic than dipping your finger into a concealer pot. This is a really great concealer to use under your eyes if you have dark circles.
Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Iced Lotus, $21
This blush was in the Clinique gift with purchase back in February, and I’ve worn it every day this month. It’s a gorgeous cool-toned pink with a bit of a sheen (technically, they call it white shimmer). I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply it to the top of my cheeks, which I’ve found is more sculpting than the apples of my round, round cheeks. Although this was a sample, I would definitely purchase this as a full size. Great color and formulation and it stays all day.
Lancome Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base, $24
Ahhh… another gift with purchase discovery. This is seriously the best thing I’ve ever put on my eyelashes. This is a mascara base that maximizes the effect of the mascara you put over it. I’ve been using Clinique’s High Impact Mascara over it, and my lashes look longer and thicker. My mascara also doesn’t smudge during the day. Love it, and I would definitely pay the $24 for it; although, I am hunting for a drugstore product that has a similar effect.
Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Eye Shadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells, $2.99
Let’s all take a moment to remember how awful Wet ‘n’ Wild cosmetics used to be, back in the day. Pretty awful, right?
Okay, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, look at this eyeshadow palette! Wet ‘n’ Wild’s eyeshadows are known for being cheap and super pigmented. Words that come to my mind: bang for your buck. These retail for $2.99 and you can nearly always find them ‘Buy One Get One 50% Off.’ This particular palette is gorgeous and perfect for everyday use.
tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Hope, $24
This is a product was in the Sephora’s Favorites Give Me Some Lip box last year. If you’ve never checked out Sephora’s Favorites boxes, I definitely recommend them! This particular box had five or six lip products, two of which were full size. This lip tint was one of the full-size products. It retails for $24, and the Favorites box was $25! The boxes are definitely worth the money and you get to try a variety of products.
Anyways, on to this lip tint. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the matte-ness of it, but it’s not too bad! It’s not drying, it glides on easily, and it stays put for hours. And if I’m feeling glossy, I just throw a gloss on over it!
So tell me, what are some of your favorites for March?
Today, I’m linking up with Ashley from Dancing With Ashley!
