I’m back today to round out my summer make up series. The main title of these posts has been “Makeup Monday,” and these posts will continue to be on Monday. I’ll still be doing makeup posts, but this is the end of my summer series! Today, I’ll be sharing my favorite lip products for summer.
Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust for Blush, $7.49
The Maybelline Color Whispers are the other drugstore lip product line that have become a staple in my makeup (of course, the other being the Revlon Lip Butters). They’re very moisturizing. I haven’t purchased a color yet that’s been super bright or dark. Hmmm… hence the name “whisper”! To me, they are perfect for keeping in your purse or desk drawer when you need a little extra color throughout the day. The Lust for Blush is always in my desk so I can grab it easily.
Revlon Lip Butters in Sorbet and Wild Watermelon, $7.49
Surprise, surprise! I included the lip butters! These two colors are from the summer collection that Revlon recently released. These lip butters are a cross between a lip balm and a lip stick. They’re moisturizing and very pigmented. I love these two colors for summer. Sorbet is a bright pink and Wild Watermelon is just what it’s called — a deep watermelon color. These are my favorite bright lip products at the moment!
Boots Botanics Volumising Lip Gloss in Carnation, $7.99
This is a recent purchase. Target revamped the Boots display and they also have some Boots Botanics makeup. I have loved the Boots Botanics skin care line for a long time now, so I was excited this new-to-me makeup line. I’ve been super happy with this lip gloss so far. It’s not as pigmented as I thought it was going to be, but it’s a very natural, fresh look for the summer. Another perfect lip product for your purse or desk drawer!
Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Child, $28
I had some reservations about including this one, but I really, really love it so it made the cut! This is a sample size of the Hourglass Lip Gloss. It’s super expensive, and you can get it from Sephora. This is the perfect nude for me, which is the reason I wanted to include it. It has just the right amount of pink that it doesn’t make my lips look dead, but it’s still a nude. I didn’t used to wear nude lip products, but they look really good with a bold eye look.
What are your favorite lip products for summer? Or, for any time! Let me know what you’re loving right now!
