This is all I got for ya.
No, really. This was all I bought at Goodwill the week I bought this shirt. It’s cute and flowy and from Forever 21. Do you ever feel funny thrifting stuff from Forever 21? Like, maybe it won’t last because the quality was questionable when it was brand new? Or, maybe you might be paying more at the thrift store than what you would pay at the Forever 21 store? I feel like that, too. But the print got me. It got me good.
I think I paid $3 something for this. And it smells just as flowery as it looks.
Which leads me into this weeks tip…
Thrifty Tip #4
Don’t be turned off by the smell of Goodwill (or any thrift store, for that matter) (unless it smells like cigaratte smoke. gross).
Because I figured out what the smell is. It is the smell of all the laundry detergents and fabric softeners in the entire world squeezed into one store. No wonder it smells off. I realized what the smell was when I bought some Dryel for the first time in a long time. After I pulled my clothes from the dryer, I took a whiff and was instantly transported to the fluorescent-lighted racks of Goodwill.
So, don’t be off-put. Just wash what you buy and it’ll smell like yours in no time!
