As someone who loves fashion, I look to blogs for a lot of my inspiration. For example, the searsStyle Blog is brimming with inspiration for the fall fashion trends that are now in the stores. Their blog has many different features — How to Wear it, Look for Less, Fall Fashion, … and the list goes on! My favorite features tend to be the ones called How to Wear it, which features a particular item or trend and then shows you how to make it your own.

I had some inspiration after reading about the black on black trend, lace, and edgy street style. When I went shopping at Sears, it was exciting to get my look for less. You all know how much I love to thrift. Would you believe this top, cardigan, and shoes cost less than $50?! It definitely made my thrifty heart go pitter-pat. I couldn’t have gotten these item so cheap if it weren’t for the Shop Your Way rewards program. If you notice the prices on the items, there is almost always a “Members Only” price that you can get if you’re a member of the program.
I’m quite the fan of black on black, so this top and cardigan pairing was a no brainer! Now, lace. Lace is a bit foreign to me. I’m always worried I’ll snag it and it’s quite a fine line between classy and trashy, in my opinion. The searsStyle Blog showed me how to wear it with class. This cardigan is minimalist (love!) and has a little surprise in the back.
Cute, right? And totally versatile! It would look great with a contrasting top, too.
I like minimalist style and don’t get too “edgy,” if you know what I mean. But, after reading the Street Style feature on the searsStyle Blog, I got the idea of pairing a feminine top with some metal-studdied flats. I also love the contrast between the bow and the studs.
You should definitely check out the searsStyle Blog! I know you’ll find new inspiration for your fall fashion, like I did. I’ve compiled some of my inspiration into a Shop Your Way catalog, which you can view here.
