Today’s Makeup Monday features a product that I recently found at Walgreens. Now, I don’t know if this is a new product or just a new product to my Walgreens. But, I’ve never seen these before. I’m talking about the Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains.
You’ve probably seen a ton of products along these same lines — Clinique Chubby Sticks, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick, Cover Girl Lipperfection Gloss Balms, etc….. the list goes on. Personally, I love the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. They come in a wide range of colors, they smell minty, and the color stays forever.
When these Jordana Balm Stains caught my eye a couple weeks ago, I knew I had to try them. Why, do you ask? Because they’re $2.99. Yeah, it was a no-brainer. I wanted to see how they compare to the Revlon version, since those have been my fave since they were released.
I purchased two colors, Candied Coral and Sweet Pink. Since coral and pink are the two lip colors I gravitate towards, they seemed like the perfect shades.
And here they are on my lips.
Y’all! They are so pigmented. They’re very smooth and glide on like a lip balm. I really, really like these! They also stain your lips and stay all day. In fact, I had to scrub off the swatches from my hand (see above). I wore the Sweet Pink during a very, very hot day and I was pleased with its staying power.
While the glossiness wears off throughout the day, the color stays. If you like your lips to be glossy, you might need to keep a clear or light shade of lip gloss with you and top off throughout the day. As far as scent/flavor, they smell sweet and slightly fruity and they do not have any flavor.
I really don’t think you can beat the price, staying power, and pigmentation of these balm stains! I will definitely be going back to get a couple more shades.
