Happy (Makeup) Monday! I am super excited for today’s post. I’ve been trying out a new oil and it’s absolutely amazing. This past year, I became more interested in facial oils because they can be very beneficial to your skin and complexion. Previously, I had assumed that oil + my combination/oily skin would = a grease slick. But not so! Using light, plant-based oils helps your skin retain moisture, which can decrease oil production, which in turn can decrease the frequency of acne spots. I have found exactly that to be true with my own skin.
When I was contacted by Fiafini to try their new Pure Marula Beauty Oil, I jumped at the chance to try another facial oil. The interesting thing about this product is that it can be used all over your body and even on your hair. I love using oil on the ends of my hair to keep it hydrated and I have used this in a multitude of ways and love it.
This oil is extracted from the nuts of the marula tree in South Africa. It contains natural antioxidants that protect your skin. They also claim that it can reverse photo-damage and and heal acne scars. I have not been using it long enough to see results such as that, but my acne scars have been a bit lighter since I started using it.
This oil is incredibly moisturizing. I have used it over my night
moisturizer, on my cuticles, on the ends of my hair, in my bath. I even
used it to shave my legs. That was definitely my favorite way to use
it. I have used an oil to shave my legs before and it is by far the
best way to keep the skin on your legs moisturized. If you have never
used an oil, I highly recommend it!
Another great feature of this oil is that it has a pump. Not only is it hygienic, but it also limits product waste. One pump is more than enough for your face. I used three pumps for my bath water, and I used two pumps for each the bottoms and tops of my legs while shaving. A teeny tiny pump is the perfect amount for the ends of your hair. This oil will last me such a long time, it is definitely worth the price.
I can’t recommend this beauty oil enough. You can find Fiafini Pure Marula Beauty Oil at a variety of stores online, including Derm Store, Beauty Bar, Apothecarie, and Fiafini.
