Were you as excited as I was about Urban Decay’s newest Naked palette? Because I was pretty darn excited. The moment they were available on their website, I was ordering two! One for me and one to give away (more on that later).
First, some pictures.
You know you’re a blogger when you’re smearing eyeshadow on your arm for a photo.
So, let’s talk about it, shall we? First of all, the quality of the eyeshadows are exactly what you expect from Urban Decay. Highly pigmented, buttery smooth, and gorgeous shades that compliment a variety of skin tones. If you are familiar with the first two Naked palettes, the first palette is golden tones, the second palette is taupe tones, and this palette is rose gold. To be completely honest, I ordered this thinking it wouldn’t look great on my skin tone. Turns out, it does! My eyes are hazel and pink tones make them pop.
I’ve been using this palette since the day it came in the mail. The case is like the second Naked palette. Its a hard case that snaps shut. There is a mirror and it comes with the double-ended eyeshadow brush. It also comes with four samples of their Eye Primer Potion.
I can already tell you the colors I’ll hit pan on first. Dust, Limit, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, and Darkside are the ones I’m gravitating to. Dust is gorgeous all over the lid. Limit and Nooner are awesome transition shades in the crease. Liar, Factory, and Mugshot are so, so gorgeous all over the lids and blended into the crease (by themselves). I love single-color eye looks and those three all fit that bill. I’ve been using Darkside as eyeliner on my top and lower lash lines.
Strange is the highlight shade and, unfortunately, is the same shade as my skin (ha ha) and has no shimmer. Burnout, Buzz, and Trick are really pretty but I just haven’t used them a bunch. Blackheart is quite a daring shade, as it’s black with red micro glitter. When swatched, it looks more like camo paint. I don’t know how I might use this shade, but it will be fun to play around with it!
And now for a giveaway! Today, I’m giving away one Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette over on Molly’s blog. I’ll also be including a goodie bag of some of my fave drug store makeup products. Go on over to enter the giveaway!
