Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Powders in Diffused Light and Dim Light
If you read beauty blogs or watch beauty Youtube videos, then you’re sure to have heard about this product. These powders are from Hour Glass, and they are called Ambient Lighting Powders. The idea behind them is that they give your skin a lit-from-within glow. There are four different shades, and each one achieves a different effect.
This little chart helped me figure out which ones to purchase. The first one I purchased was Diffused Light. Despite the hype surrounding the Dim Light, Diffused piqued my interest because it reduces redness. My skin is naturally red, and I also have some hyperpigmentation areas from acne scars. I have been using this for over a month and I can safely say that this is my favorite setting powder ever. It gives my skin the most gorgeous finish, it’s not heavy (although you can easily pack on too much), and I’m now obsessed with having a glowy finish instead of a matte one.
Moving on to Dim Light. This is the one I’ve heard so much about online, and rightfully so. It enhances your complexion with a balance of cool and warm tones. It’s a bit darker than the Diffused Light. Even so, I can use this all over my face for some extra color (that sounds crazy. it’s not). My favorite use is as a blush/contour color. It’s not in your face and perfect for those light makeup days. It gives my cheeks a beautiful color that enhances my skin tone.
Have you tried these powders yet? I have a couple in mind that I’d like to try next!
