I can’t even remember when I first bought this cleanser, but I instantly loved it. To me, this is comparative to Philosophy’s Purity Cleanser in terms of performance. As far as ingredients, the fresh cleanser contains far less “questionable” ingredients than the Philosophy one!
It contains amino acids and soy proteins that help retain the moisture in your skin while simultaneously cleansing and removing makeup/impurities. This does not remove long-wearing mascara and eyeliner on me, but I use a separate eye makeup remover anyways. The surfactant in it is gentle enough that you get that foamy-clean-feeling on your skin without stripping your skin. The alcohol it contains is also gentle. This face cleanser contains other beneficial ingredients such as rose water, soy extract, and cucumber, all of which sooth, nourish, and hydrate your skin.
This is a creamy gel formula that lathers up just a bit. It’s more like a froth than foam, in my opinion. I have used this with and without my Clarisonic, and I much prefer it with. There’s nothing wrong with using the cleanser with a wash cloth, but it makes my skin feel so clean and good with my Clarisonic. It has a fresh smell to it, which I love.
I highly recommend trying this cleanser! Sephora has a small size priced at $15, which is usually in the grab-and-go section near the register.
