Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite eye shadow palettes. This is the Stila In the Light Palette. It retails for $42 and has 10 neutral-toned eyeshadows. I wanted to show another awesome neutral palette as an alternative to the Urban Decay Naked palettes. The Naked palettes are pricey, at $52. This one is only $10 cheaper … but at the same time, it’s $10 cheaper.
I actually received a sample of this entire palette from Sephora at the beginning of 2013 and immediately fell in love with Stila’s famous color Kitten. For me, I was sold. It took me a while to get around and purchase it, but rest assured I used every little bit of that sample palette before I did.
I would describe this palette as Urban Decay’s Naked 1 + Naked 2 – the sexy. Yeah… that makes sense, right?
Anyways, this palette is truly neutral in that it’s not overly warm or overly cool. This is definitely a middle of the road palette that suits a lot of people. It also has a good mix of shimmer vs. matte. The quality is just as good as Urban Decay, although the formulation is slightly more chalky. You just have to be careful when putting the product on your brush. You barely have to tap it to pick up the eye shadow.
The staying power is equivalent to that of the Urban Decay shadows, too. Over all, I am super impressed with this palette. If I didn’t already have the Naked 1 and Naked 2, I would say that this palette could replace both of those for me.
Do you have this palette or would you purchase it?
