Lately, I’ve been thinking about the lipsticks that routinely end up in my purse. Maybe I’m just makeup obsessed or maybe I recently had to clean out my makeup bag and (literally) pulled out 12 lip products in various forms (lip gloss, lip stick, lip balm…)
Whenever that happens, I find one or all of these in there and … I just throw them back in! These are my every day lipsticks that go with anything no matter what season and no matter what event. A “your lips, but better” lipstick is quite a handy thing to have in your purse.
First, up a classic drug store option. Revlon has so many gorgeous lipsticks, and this is one (of many, if I’m honest) that never lets me down. This is a creamy pink named Temptress. You could call this a pinky nude, but it’s more pinky than nude. Try it. You’ll love it!
Next up, Clinique. I haven’t tried a lot of their lipsticks, other than getting them in gifts with purchase. This was the first lipstick I purchased from the brand. It’s called Pink Beach, and I literally bought it because I saw somewhere that Jennifer Aniston wears this. Who knows if that’s true, but look at it! It’s so pretty. It’s a gorgeous pink with a slight golden shimmery-ness through it.
Last, but certainly not least, this is a classic MAC lipstick. It’s called Syrup, but it doesn’t look like syrup. Weird, right? It’s a purple-y pink, creamy shade. I find that purple-toned lipsticks look more natural, because it mimics the natural purple-tone of lips. Now, if you look at the picture above, you’ll see that I’ve used a fair amount of this lipstick. I bought this lipstick at the beginning of December. I have never used a lipstick this fast! I will definitely repurchase this as soon as it’s used up.
And there you have it! My top 3 every day lipsticks. If you try any of these, let me know what you think of them!
Happy Friday! What are you doing this weekend?
