If you’ve never heard of Beauty Box 5, it’s a monthly subscription service that sends you 5 cosmetic products every month! I received my box every month complimentary. It’s so much fun to try out new products each month.
Here’s what I received in February and my thoughts on the products.
Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads
These makeup remover pads were, by far, my favorite product last month. I remove my makeup with cloth wipes and cleansing balm, so it wasn’t too unlike what I already do. These pads contain argan oil, so your skin feels silky smooth afterward. All you have to do is add water and wipe off your makeup! I’ve never cared much for those package makeup wipes, because my face never feels completely clean. If I feel the need to wash my face after I’ve already washed it, something’s not doing its job. With the Every Beauty remover pads, my face felt legitimately cleaned and I didn’t need to rinse it.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo/Conditioner
Okay, before I talk about these products, I’ll give you some background on my hair. My hair is fine, wavy, and gets weighed down easily. Most volumizing products just build up gunk on my hair and makes it heavy. Ironic, no? Anyways. I did not have high hopes for this shampoo/conditioner pairing, but it is AMAZING.
Yes, I am shouting.
I tried it two ways (since I had two packets). The first time, I let my hair air dry but it really didn’t do much. The next time, I used my blow drying and round brush. I had crazy volume, no frizz, and it stayed that way for two days. My hair didn’t feel weighed down at all, despite the “secret ingredient” being a volume polymer (which I think is a wax, but don’t quote me on that). I was so impressed that I purchased the full sized products.
P.S. Each packet had a $2 coupon attached, so I saved them to use during Harris Teeter’s super double week (when they double $2 coupons). So, I basically got them for less than half price. Each product was $6.99 – $4 in coupons = $2.99! If you’re ever interested in knowing how I save money on cosmetics at the drug store, let me know I can whip up a post about it! #couponingohhyeah
Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara
I had never heard of this brand before February, but I am certainly intrigued and want to try more products from them! This is, as it says, a volumizing mascara. It didn’t clump or smudge, so it basically wins in my opinion. It’s rare for a volumizing mascara to be so amazingly clump-free. It kind of lengthens, but I would say it volumizes more so.
Rockstar Nails Nail Polish and Nail Sprinkles
Have you seen the caviar nail trend? I can’t say I’m super adventurous with my nails, but the idea of putting sprinkly beads on my nails has intrigued me a bit. It was surprisingly easy to apply them. Basically, you paint the color on your nails, let it dry, and apply a top coat per the usual. Wait about 10 seconds (so it gets tacky), then dump the sprinkles on your nails (or nail. I did just an accent nail) and let them dry! I kept my hand over a small container so they wouldn’t spill everywhere. I actually thought they looked cool. They’ll be featured in my review video on my Youtube channel.
I was so happy with my Beauty Box 5 last month! I know this is late going up, but I wanted to let you know about these awesome products before my March box gets here. If you try any of these products, let me know what you think of them.!
