Influenster sent me this Boots Botanic Ionic Clay Mask complimentary to review as part of the J’Adore Vox Box in February.
I am a huge fan of clay masks, but I gave this one a few tries to make sure I like it before doing a review. In my experience with clay masks, some can be drying. It will feel like they’ve completely sucked the life out of your skin. Not so with this one!
After using this mask, my skin felt smooth, clean, and refined. I didn’t feel itchy or dry at all. This is unscented and hypoallergenic, so it’s not going to make your sensitive skin go haywire. The clay in the mask has a negative charge, so it draws the impurities out of your pores. The active ingredient willowbark clarifies your skin, as willowbark is a natural source of salycylic acid.
Another plus that I noticed with my skin was that my red acne spots looked calmed and less red. That’s a definite plus in my book! Whenever I do a mask, I always follow up with a heavy moisturizer or an oil, just to give my skin an extra dose of love. My favorite drug store facial oil is from Boots Botanics. They did not send this to me or ask me to mention this product. I just had to mention it, because that’s what I do after masks anyway! I get my Boots Botanics Facial Oil at Target.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to try this mask. It’s one that I’ve been eyeing on the shelf at Target for quite some time and am super impressed with it.
