You all know how much I love a high-low clothing budget. Some things I buy are high end (not much, but some). Some things I buy are low end. Well, I’ve discovered something helps me to decide if I should buy high end or not.
I will first purchase a low end product that I want to wear. For example, black leggings. Last year I bought some black leggings from Target and really (really) liked wearing them. Being that they were from Target, they got worn out pretty fast. At the end of the year, I decided to invest in some J. Crew Pixie Pants. I couldn’t be happier about buying something really nice that I will wear all the time.
You’re probably wondering why I’m writing about leggings but you’re looking at totes. Don’t worry, I’m getting to the point.
I’ve been wanting to purchase the Madewell Transport Tote for a while but wasn’t really sure if that style of bag was perfect for me (and at a price like that, the purse needs to be perfect!). Earlier this year, I purchased a cheaper tote style bag from Bevello in Cameron Village. Spoiler alert: I really love the tote style of bag. It’s so easy to get things in and out of, and I can just sling it over my shoulder and go. My Madewell Kensington will always be my fave, but the tote style is so perfect for when I need to grab and go. My birthday present to myself will most likely be a purse (again) this year, and I’m seriously thinking about the Madewell Transport Tote. I put together a little inspiration board of other totes that have caught my eye lately!
