This year, I will be documenting my monthly clothing budget. I will show you my budget for each month and what I bought with it. Every month, I have a base budget of $60 to spend towards clothing. Some months might be more, because I use Ebates to shop online, earn a little money through brand collaborations and affiliate links, and sometimes have a side job that gets added to my base budget. This month’s budget was $233.66. (spoiler alert: I went a little over budget)
From Old Navy, I bought another pair of the Pixie Skinny Ankle Pants. In this order, I actually had two pairs. One was polka dot (this one, obvs) and the other was red. The red was back ordered for over two months, so I said “meh” and cancelled them. I kept these and I really, really love them. I ordered this pink sleeveless top so I could have a non-tank-top sleeveless option for work, when I need to wear a cardigan but don’t want the bunchiness of a short-sleeved shirt. I really like it and will probably get some more colors later on. I spent $34.42.
Aaaand, I got more cardigans via thredUP (referral link, you get $10 off your first order, and I get a $10 credit if you order something). I find so many good quality cardigans on thredUP. These are all from Loft, and I spent $35.97.
The top on the left is from Zara, and I bought it after seeing it on Kendi’s blog. You’ve seen it before, because I ordered it a while ago but took it out of my July budget. It has a tulip back, so I have to wear a tank under neath. Even at that, it’s so cool and breezy for summer. I love it! It was $49.90
The skirt is from Nashona, which is a local brand that I’ve collaborated with before. I purchased this when I saw it on their Facebook page. They sell at a local boutique and they post about their new stock every day. I saw it on their page a week before I bought it, and it just stuck in my head. I love the color combination. Pops of yellow are so pretty, and I think it will look great with my Rockport flats that have the yellow toe cap. This is the one thing I can’t wait to wear after our remix is over. This was $55.51. She also gave me some coordinating bangles. So cute!
The top on the right is from J. Crew. Chambray + tunic = heaven for summer. This has to be the silkiest chambray I’ve ever felt. My favorite way to wear it is with leggings (of course). But, it also looks really great tucked into a skirt. I am happy to have a chambray top for the summer that isn’t hot. It was $57.77.
These are what threw me over budget! I found these shoes at a local thrift store (not Goodwill, shocker!). They were $12! The black pair are Madden Girl, the brown pair are Rue 21, and the flas are SM New York (never heard of that brand before). All three look barely worn.
