This is the first week of school, and I am one big bag of mixed emotions. I am excited for the routine of the school year, but this year is going to be different. Our boys will be in 2nd and 1st grade, and I will be going back to school as well. It is funny that I’ve already gone back to school once during the life of my blog. During the last time I was in school, I maintained a consistent posting schedule here. Eventually, I needed to take time off from the blog.
This time around, it feels different. I feel motivated to maintain my regular posting schedule and fit everything in. Realistically, I can’t do anything all the time. I can’t work all the time, or clean the house all the time, or study all the time. To be honest, when I decided to go back to school the idea of quitting the blog crossed my mind. But, I have a lot of fun here and I need that creative free time when I’m busy (maybe even more so when I’m busy). So, I plan on maintaining my posting schedule for now.
And, of course, the wonderful Em Grey has helped me with that. These pictures are from the last Blogger’s Day Out session I did with Em, Angela, Lee, and Molly. A couple weekends ago, we had another session! It felt really great to put take pictures of 10 outfits within 3 hours. Em is a fashion photo extraordinaire!
So, even if I can’t wake up early enough to take outfit pictures with my husband, I have a lot of photos to use. And of course, putting together the 10 outfits made me dig into the inner depths of my closet to pull out some tops and skirts I haven’t used in a while.
On a more exciting note (I guess), are you sad about summer ending? This week has felt uncharacteristically cool for August. Are you excited for cool weather to arrive?
