As a wife and mom of three who works outside of the home, I have limited time in the morning to get ready. I don’t mean to harp on about simple clothes and simple makeup looks, but they are sanity savers. Aside from being a wife and mom, I am a girly girl who likes to put on makeup and look good every day. This is my (current) favorite two eyeshadow look that is so easy for rushed mornings.
I am focusing on eyes, but here is the rest of the makeup I have on my face:
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation in Alabaster
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Bisque
Rimmel London Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in Fair
Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye Brightener
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair (for spots)
E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Sleek Makeup Face Form Contour Kit in Fair
Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Fig (over chapstick, so it’s sheer)
I always prime my eyes. Right now, I’m using a sample of the Benefit Stay Don’t Stray in Light/Medium. This is a primer for your lids and under your eyes. I have only been using it on my lids. It’s really nice, light weight, and keeps my eyeshadow in place all day.
For this look, I am using the Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette. I love this palette. It’s so worth the money!
I tend to use the first two shades in the top row. The shade directly below the “1” shade is also very nice, as is the fourth one in the bottom row.
I take my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and apply the “1” shadow all over my lid and into my crease. Then, I take the Accent Brush and lightly line my lower lashes (alliteration for the win!). For a highlight, I use the “2” shade and apply it with a Deluxe Crease Brush.
I’m not sure if you’re aware, but this is my favorite mascara. I feel like I mention this every month! A couple coats of the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam, and I’m all ready to go.
And, tada! I’m done.
I love this for busy mornings which, let’s be honest, seem to be more frequent now. Last year, when our youngest son started school, our morning didn’t feel this crazy. As they move up in grades, there’s more to do in the evenings with homework, so we get to bed a little later than we (all) like.
Who knows what my makeup routine will look like when our daughter starts school! Thankfully, that is a couple years away.
Linking up with Molly and Carly.

I was provided the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara for a collaboration with Rimmel earlier in the year. All opinions are 100% my own, and I’m pretty sure it’s obvious that I love it and I will purchase it again and again.
