If you’re like me and have kids in school, you feel stressed out about teacher Christmas gifts. I need to find gifts that are quick, thoughtful, and affordable! Between our three kids, we have 5 amazing teachers who deserve the very best at Christmas. I stopped by Wal-Mart to take a gander at their Hallmark Northpole gifts.
I found the Hallmark Northpole section with the other Christmas gifts and decor. It was at the front of the store, in the seasonal section. I was instantly impressed with the color scheme. I love a traditional red and green color scheme, but I do love some turquoise and red as well!
They have a $10 and under section, and I chose to make a little hot chocolate ensemble with mugs. I purchased mugs, some hot chocolate packets, chocolate Christmas candy, and peppermint sticks to put in the mugs. And I didn’t break the bank. #feelingaccomplished
I made this gift so quick and in four short steps!
I decided to use chocolate candy as the filler. Why use paper filler when you can fill it with something edible?
I tucked in the hot chocolate packets and a few peppermint sticks. You could definitely get some of the pre-wrapped candy canes, but I love the way these old-fashioned peppermint sticks look. I put them in a small candy bag before placing them in the mug.
Lastly, I used the bow from the mug’s packaging and tied it around the handle. It was the perfect length and already matches!
And there you have it! A cute mug with a cheerful message, perfect for the teacher (or teachers) in your life.
I think I’ll gift this gift an A+!
So, side note. When I was taking a gander at the gifts, I noticed the Northpole book. Every year, we get one Christmas book. We love reading Christmas stories together in the evening. This book is called Once Upon a Northpole. It’s such a cute story! It’s already a hit in our house. 🙂
I think this book deserves an A+, too!
