It’s time for another Stitch Fix! My last fix of 2014 came in the mail last week. I was super excited about it. Since I had luck with the sweater and jeans in my last fix, I asked for more winter-y things.
Henry Birds on a Branch Infinity Scarf, $28
Just Black Dean Ankle Zip Skinny Jeans, size 32, $78
41Hawthorn Gideon Polka Dot Sweater, size medium, $68
Last month, I got a pair of Just Black skinny jeans. They are so comfortable, and I love them. I was excited to get another pair this month. I love the zipper details! The only thing is… I already have a pair of black skinny jeans. And while these are different (my others are distressed), I couldn’t justify spending $78 on a similar pair of jeans. Just to be sure, I got my other black skinnies out to compare. My other ones (which are by Gap) are a higher rise and feel more comfortable to me. These Just Black skinnies got sent back.
Two things that did not get sent back are this sweater and the scarf. In fact, I’ve had this fix for a grand total of 6 days and I’ve worn the sweater twice. It’s so soft and thick. If I wear this to the office, I don’t need to layer. And that’s saying something, because my office is cold! Given my recent obsession with infinity scarves (#latetothegame), this scarf is a no-brainer. I love the color and the print.
Honey Punch May Plaid & Lace Button-up, size medium, $48
Next
up, one of the most unflattering shirts I’ve ever worn. I love the
concept (lace + plaid? lady + lumberjack? you pick), but this shirt
didn’t fit well. It’s tight across my shoulders (you can see that in
the second picture), but it’s too loose around my waist. This was sent back.
Market & Spruce Hi-Lo Short Sleeve Tee, size medium, $44
This is the biggest “no” ever. Th fabric was flimsy and too stretchy. It also shows off too much of my amazing arm muscles. Gotta reign those things in, and this top just isn’t cut out for that job!
After my $25 credit, I spent $71 on the scarf and sweater. The sweater was totally worth all of that $71. It is one of the nicest quality things I’ve received in my fixes. And who can resist a cute infinity scarf? Not I.
