I am sent Beauty Box 5 every month for review. All opinions are 100% my own.
In case you’ve never heard of Beauty Box 5, it is a monthly subscription service. For $12 per month, they will send you 5 cosmetic samples. They sent a good mix of high end and drug store products, so there is something for everyone!
Before I get into my box, I have to apologize for this iPhone pic. I tore into my box and started using the products before I took a proper picture. And now on to the box!
February is Beauty Box 5’s birth month, and they usually send a little something special in celebration of that. This year, it is a $20 gift card code to Your Minerals. I’m looking forward to trying some new makeup! I’ve wanted to get into mineral makeup (other than Bareminerals) and this seems like the perfect time to do so.
Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish in Fall Mood
I am SUCH a fan of the Revlon Colorstay nail polishes. They are easy to apply, opaque, and they have a huge range of colors. I am so glad this was in my box this month!
Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment
This is another major favorite of mine. This mask is clay based and very effective. I don’t know exactly what makes it work, but my skin looks amazing after I use this. It’s pretty pricey and totally worth it.
Absolute New York Lip Balm in Bubble Gum
I go through lip balm likes it”s nothing, so it’s great to have another one to throw in my purse. This one is light pink, smells like you could eat it, and is very affordable. I even found a set of two on Amzon for around $4!
Avon Big Color Eye Pencil in Natural Vibe
Eye pencils are the handiest thing I keep in my work makeup bag. I like to keep a small bag of essential items for those mornings that I can’t get out the door with makeup on. (Moms out there, tell me I’m not the only one!) Eye pencils are easy to apply on the go, since all you need is the pencil and your fingers. If you’re going to frequently do a one-color look, stick with a shimmery shade.
Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Vanilla Frosting
I had never heard of this brand before. I believe this is from the UK. I wish I’d thought to swatch it quickly in that Instagram pic, but it is the perfect highlight shade. It’s a cool toned white shimmery eyeshadow. I actually used this on a minimal makeup day last week. (honestly, that was pretty much every day since it was icemageddon here) It stayed on all day without primer! I am officially impressed.
That’s it for my unboxing this month! This is an amazing box. I am featuring the eyeshadow later this week in a little (literally) round up of products I like to use on a simple face day. It was meant to be a five product face, but I just couldn’t keep it to five products. I’ll have that up later this week.
