In my semi-quest to try more natural makeup, I have subscribed to Petit Vour. Petit Vour is a monthly subscription service that sends you 4-5 natural, vegan, and cruelty-free cosmetic samples every month. My first box is here. I was very happy with the quality of the products. The items I love from that box are the Lily Lolo mascara (it’s seriously amazing), the Balanced Guru body scrub (messy but very effective and energizing), and the Ellovi body butter.
The subscription costs $15 every month, and my first box had over double that amount in product. I decided to stick with it this month (and April, too). The boxes get sent out between the 10th and 20th every month, and I have gotten my box towards the end of the month both times. Hence, the reason this post is going up in April and not March. 🙂
This month, I received:
The Little Alchemist Cacao & Banana Face Glow | $32
This is definitely the most interesting product I’ve received in a subscription box. This is a dry mask that contains super fruits and raw caco. It nourishes your skin with antioxidants to improve its radiance and lumosity. It gives your face a smoother texture and a softer glow. This brand is handmade in small batches in Australia. Also, this is their mini size. With this product alone, I’ve received a little over double the $15 subscription fee. The directions say to take one teaspoon of the powder and mix it with water or the liquid of your choice (i.e., a cleanser). Apply it to your face, leave it for 10 minutes, and rinse off. You can do this 1-2 times a week. I haven’t tried this yet, but I will report back!
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream – .5 oz | 1.7 oz, $39
Every product I’ve tried and used from Juice Beauty has been highly effective and relatively affordable. I love that you can purchase it at Ulta (even though it is excluded from coupons), because I can peruse their line in person before I purchase. This CC cream claims to be a 12-in-1 multitasking cream. It is age-defying and skin-perfecting. Given Juice Beauty’s track record with my skin, I’m inclined to believe the claims. As I love wearing CC creams when the weather warms up, I will be trying this one out soon.
Vert Mont Perfumery EROS Wellness Perfume – 1.5 ml | 10 ml, $35
In my last box, I was disappointed to get two perfumes. This time, I only got one (yay), but perfume is not my favorite item to get in my subscription boxes. This particular perfume is from the Vert Mont Perfumery, which hails from Vermont. I love the play on words, as Vert Mont looks like Vermont, it means green mountain, it comes from the green mountains of Vermont. Vert Mont makes pure botanical perfumes. This EROS fragrance is quite strong, with notes of red mandarin, patchouli, coriander, juniper, and jasmine. It’s not my favorite fragrance and I have not warmed up to it yet.
Metropolis Soap Co. Lip Butter | $7
Last, but certainly not least, this natural lip butter is made from sunflower wax. This award-winning lip butter is scented with lavender and spearmint, which are two of my favorite scents. These lip butters are made in small handmade batches in Brooklyn, NY, and feature all-natural fragrance blends.
Do you get Petit Vour? I’d love to know what you got this month!peti
