Every year at this time, we purchase our Hallmark ornaments and Christmas cards. I usually head to the Hallmark store, but this year I found some very pretty ornaments at Walmart! Hallmark Ornaments have been a tradition for us since Will and I got married, and they will always be our special tradition!
Another tradition we have is saving all our Christmas cards. That’s right, I have every single Christmas card we’ve ever been sent. Before I stow them away in a special box, I like to display them. I got a little more festive this year with our Christmas card display. This is a super simple design that looks great as it’s filled up with your Hallmark Christmas cards!
I used supplies I’d purchased at Walmart a while ago. I still had them in my crafting supplies. I placed a few thumbtacks in a zigzag pattern. I wanted this design to be reminiscent of the zigzag trees that kids draw. Then, I strung twine between the thumbtacks. When I put the twine on the thumbtacks, I twirled it around the thumbtack a few times so it would stay. When I go the top thumbtack, I cut the twine. To finish out the tree, I put a bow on the top of the corkboard.
Now, we’ve started filling up our twine tree! We clip the cards to the twine using tiny clothespins. I just love our Christmas card set up for this year. If you noticed the brown Hallmark gift bag in the lwoer right hand corner, it’s filled with tiny clothespins so the kids can keep filling up the twine every day when we get the mail.
I have been so impressed with the Hallmark card selection at Walmart! They have a great variety of styles. They are the perfect way to tell someone you care about them. Hallmark will always be a part of our holiday traditions! I can’t wait to fill up our entire twine tree with Christmas cards.
