I absolutely love rounding up my beauty favorites at the end of every month. When I was gathering together the items for this post, it didn’t seem like a lot of products. But, I actually have a lot to say about them! And I forgot one highlighter that I’ve been loving, so I’ll add that to my May favorites if I’m still loving it at that time.
In case you didn’t catch my Sephora VIB Sale Haul, I bought a few things from Sephora. 😉 This was in one of my orders. I’ve pretty much decided that it’s time to moisturize my neck and decollete on the daily. I want to prevent any dry skin/wrinkles/crepiness that I can. This moisturizer is super thick and emulsifies when I rub it between my hands. It absorbs into my skin very quickly, so I don’t feel sticky or greasy at all. My skin looks and feels so hydrated, I love it!
I shared my new hair care routine at the end of March, and my love for these products is still going strong. You can read about my hair care routine here, but you basically use these products in reverse order. Instead of shampooing and then conditioning, you condition first and then wash your hair. My hair looks so glossy and healthy now, with all the added moisture from this hair care system.
This was another Sephora VIB Sale Haul purchase, and I am so glad I ordered this blindly. My skin always reacts very well to charcoal treatments, so I had a hint that it would work for me. This also has kaolin clay in it, which will clarify your skin. I like to use charcoal and/or clay when my skin feels congested, very oily, and breaking out. This is the most intensive charcoal mask I’ve ever used, so I will only be using this once a week.
Burberry Eye Colour Cream in Dusky Mauve
I have become completely obsessed with Burberry eye products after buying pale barley at the end of last year. Their products are so high quality, they are worth the high price tags. I decided to purchase a couple of the eye colour creams after seeing rave reviews. The texture is unlike any cream shadow I’ve ever used before. This has a cream to powder finish, so it sets immediately on my eyelids. It does not budget during my entire work day. This dusky mauve is the perfect every day color for me, since I absolutely love taupes. It has a slight lavender tone to it that is very flattering to my skin. I have another eye colour cream in a copper color, and I definitely plan on purchasing more!
Marc Jacobs Nail Polish in Delphine
I have one other color of polish in this line, but it’s a wine color. Since I love this formula so much, I wanted to find a year-round color. This color is an opaque, purple grey and it’s so pretty. This formula lasts a long time. I typically do my nails on Sunday, and it’s still on my nails by Friday. The ends of my nails are usually worn down a bit, since I type so much, but it’s not chipped or peeling at all on Friday.
Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten in Tropic Hues
This is a rediscovery for me this month. I already own the full size blush in this color Tropic Hues. I got a sample of it in my Birchbox this month and immediately remembered why I love this. This color is exactly what you want in a spring/summer blush — warm, shimmery, and the perfect shade of pink.
I actually have two foundation favorites this month! I tried the Tarte Airbrush Foundation last year. It’s a full coverage powder foundation. It has been highly recommended in all the reviews I watched online. It looks really good on my skin, but it breaks me out. In fact, every powder foundation has irritated my skin and made it break out. I had this foundation tucked away and decided to layer it over the Full Coverage Foundation, which is a cream foundation. They look amazing together. My skin has not looked this flawless since I used my favorite Bobbi Brown foundation. This is a combo I’ll be using for a long time!
That’s it for my favorite this month. I hope I inspired you to try some new things.
