Summer is upon us and I, for one, am so glad! There’s something so easy about summer hair styles, and I want to share some of my current go-to products that I get from Sally Beauty. Beach waves are the ultimate summer hair style. Who doesn’t want to look like they just stepped off the beach (minus all that sand)?
During the summer, I am a huge fan of salt texture sprays. They add an extra oomph to your hair that screams ‘summer beach waves‘!! Since I heat style my hair, I will also be sharing the yummiest smelling heat protectant spray and my newest light hold hair spray. All three are a must to protect your hair and keep your style lasting through the summer humidity.
Recently, when I was in Sally Beauty, I picked up a new flat iron. My old one has been on its last leg for a while and I knew I could pick up a good quality one at Sally Beauty. I decided on this Conair Pro Tourmaline Flat Iron. It has five heat settings, and LED display screen, and it’s light weight. It is so smooth on my hair, and it heats up fast. My hair looks sleek and shiny after I use it. I really could not be happier with it!
To start, I let my hair air dry. My hair has a little more texture and holds the style better than when I blow dry it.
Next, I spritz my BTZ Turn Up The Heat Flat Iron Protection spray. You guys, this smells amazing!! And just in case you don’t like to smell your hair products all day, the scent does not last. I can’t smell it after I’ve styled my hair. Give your hair a quick comb-through after spraying it, and you’re ready to style your waves.
To further protect my hair, I always start with the lowest heat setting. If I need to bump it up later, I will. But for now, the lowest heat setting is perfect for this beachy waves style.
Now, here’s the hard part! Just joking… this is super easy. Take a small section of hair, clamp the flat iron down on it, turn the flat iron 180 degrees, and then pull the flat iron through your hair. That’s literally all it takes to create perfect, beachy waves!
Continue around your head, alternate directions so the waves look natural.
When you’re all done, you’re ready to pump up the volume with the BTZ Beach Head Tropical Texture Fast Drying Salt Spray. This spray is absolutely amazing. It dries instantly and gives your hair so much volume. I concentrate the spray at the roots in the areas I want more volume. That would be the crown of my head, my bangs, and around my temples.
Next, ruffle your hair a bit where you put the salt spray. You can tame any crazy bits with the hair spray.
Since I like my hair styles to look natural, no matter what season we’re in, I always use a flexible hold spray. This is another amazing smelling hair product. You will feel like you just walked out of a salon when you use this. This BTZ Rock On Flexible Hold Spray is perfect for any time of year. I concentrate the hair spray on the areas I definitely don’t want to budge (mostly my bangs) and give the rest of my hair a light spray.
And, voila! I’m done! This is so easy to do in the morning before work or if you’re heading out with your friends.
