I honestly can’t remember if I’ve ever mentioned Burt’s Bees here on my blog, but I am a huge fan of the brand. From their moisturizer to their facial toners to their chapstick, I’ve loved nearly every skincare and body product that I’ve tried. Their makeup has always been hit or miss for me, so I was super excited when I saw they released some lipsticks.
To say I am a lip product junkie would be an understatement. I mean, they say a picture is worth a thousand words …. but this one is worth a thousand lipsticks. When I found these Burts Bees Lipsticks at the drugstore, I picked up my usual trio. Whenever I try a new lip product, I have a habit of buying three shades: a nude, a pink or berry, and a red. I can’t remember when I started doing that, but I guess it’s become a tradition.
The Burts Bees Lipstick colors I picked up are Blush Basin, Magenta Rush, and Scarlet Soaked. All of the names seem to be related to water, which is appropriate since these Burts Bees Lipstick are very hydrating. The formula is so smooth and glide on my lips with little effort. The colors are quite pigmented, but you can also wear them sheer. Hydrating lip products are rarely long-lasting and the same is true for these. I did have to reapply my Burts Bees Lipstick throughout the day. If that doesn’t bother you, great! It doesn’t really bother me, but this is the product to pick if you need something that lasts most of work day.
As far as the range, there is a good variety of colors from which to choose. They are also affordable, at $8.99 a tube. Speaking of the packaging, it’s very cute and has a honeycomb that ties in with the Burt’s Bees theme. The packaging is lightweight. If you are someone who likes high quality packaging, this would not be a good choice for you. I don’t mind the lightweight packaging, since the price point is affordable. One last thing to mention about the Burts Bees Lipstick packing is that the color in the honeycomb design corresponds to the color of the lipstick. This makes it super easy to choose a color when you’re getting ready for the day.
What do you think of the Burts Bees Lipsticks? Have you tried them yet? Which is your favorite?
