It doesn’t matter what season it is, this blue makes it way into my wardrobe. I have quite a few shirts in this color, but I have managed to buy different styles. 😉 This top is actually from Stitch Fix and since I have so many tops in this color, I decided to send it back. I am a little behind in sharing my fixes. In fact, this top is from one of two fixes I haven’t shared yet and there is another one arriving this weekend.
I styled all of the items from the fix that this shirt came in, and I will be sharing them in outfit posts in the near future. Then, as soon as all the water has receded from our yard (thank you, Hurricane Matthew!), I’ll be taking pics of my next Stitch Fix. I really can’t wait until it arrives, since it is yet another box I’ve requested inspired by Princess Kate’s style (this time, her Canada outfits).
Well, we’re almost to Friday, which won’t be any different than the other days of this week. We’ve been home all week, since my work and the kids’ school have been closed. We were very fortunate to not have any damage from the storm, but the majority of our town’s roads are either under water or washed away. We live directly on the other side of the highway at -2:43 to -2:41 in this aerial video. If it weren’t for that highway, we would have been flooded.
It’s very scary to have your hometown fine one day and submerged the next. In fact, I had a hard time even opening up my laptop to blog this week. Aside from pre-scheduled posts, I haven’t done much. It felt so un-important while we were watching the water creep closer to the house. Once the water started to recede here, I felt momentarily relaxed. The water is simply going down stream, to other cities and towns. That doesn’t make me feel much better. It will be a long, long time until things are even close to being normal again.
