Since Christmas is this weekend, I thought it’s the perfect time to share our Christmas tree and mantel. I really liked sharing our autumnal mantel this year. Having a fireplace without a tv over it is so nice to decorate. I have really been enjoying it. In fact, we plan on having a similar fireplace in our new house.
Most of my decorations were, of course, from Michael’s. That is my go-to store for decor, simply because I can buy things that are ready made plus I can get crafty items as well. For me, it’s easy to pick out everything for the mantel at once. If I’m going to combine crafty things plus ready made items, I like to see the items all together … if that makes sense.
We purchased our Christmas tree at Target last year. It’s like this one, and we can switch between clear lights and colored lights with the little remote that comes with the tree. As far as ornaments, we don’t have a theme. I prefer to have a smorgasbord of ornaments. Next year, I do plan on having a couple of themed trees. But, we will always have a tree like this every year.
