This sweater was sent to me to style. All opinions are mine alone.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here, but I had plans to run the Princess Half Marathon at Disney in Florida in February. Since our house will be done this spring, I decided to bow out. It was a very hard decision, since I had been working so hard toward that goal. And it stings a little more that the theme for the weekend is Beauty and the Beast, which is my favorite Disney movie.
But, it really was the best decision. I want all my resources, including time, to go towards our house. Time was also an issue. Although ‘not enough time’ is the usual excuse for not exercising, I really found it hard to squeeze in exercising after Hurricane Matthew. That was definitely when I got off track, but I plan to get back on track in January, so I run the Historic Wilmington Half Marathon in November 2017.
One good thing that came out of this past year was my weight loss. I lost a little weight and when I was putting together this outfit, I decided to try on these polka dot jeans that have been in my closet forever. I don’t usually keep clothes that I can’t fit into; however, I’m glad I kept these!! I haven’t worn these jeans in a couple years, and I am so happy to be able tow ear them again. Paired with this turtleneck sweater, it’s a fresh new outfit for winter!
