A year or two ago, I tried my first sulfate-free hair products and was blown away. My hair and scalp are usually very dry, but it had never occurred to me that sulfate might be the culprit. Back when I tried my first sulfate-free hair products, I was shocked at how much better my hair and scalp felt. I’ve been using mostly sulfate-free products since then, so when I was sent these L’Oreal Ever Pure products, they were really put to the test.
I’ve been using them for about 3 weeks, which I think is a good amount of time to see a difference in your hair (good or bad). Luckily, my results were good. 🙂 I’ve tried the Ever Pure range before, but in a different scent. These are the moisturizing rosemary products. I have the moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, and the 10-in-1elixir.
The main difference I found in these products, compared to other sulfate-free products, is that they are so easy to move through my hair. I have tried some sulfate-free shampoos that are incredibly difficult to get through all of my hair. The main reason it’s difficult is because sulfate is what creates the sudsy bubbles when you wash your hair. Without the sudsy bubbles, it’s actually difficult to get the shampoo everywhere it needs to go. But, with this shampoo and conditioner I’ve had no problem at all.
The elixir is completely new to me. I’ve never used an elixir on my hair before, at least not knowingly. Basically, it contains ingredients that provide ten benefits to your hair, and you are supposed to see an improvement within one week. I’ve definitely seen a difference in my hair when I use this, but since I don’t wash my hair every day I don’t think I’m seeing my best possible results. My hair feels so smooth after using this elixir. The ends of my hair get so tangly every day, but with this product they are smooth and nearly tangle-free. I also love the scent!
Since this set is meant to be moisturizing, I expected a lot from it. I have not been disappointed. After I wash and rinse my hair, I can feel the moisture left on my hair. Normally, that would be a bad thing since I have fine hair. It doesn’t take much to weigh down my hair. That has not been the case with these products. The conditioner is super, super hydrating and makes my hair feel incredibly smooth.
Overall, I’ve been very pleased with these products. I’ve never tried sulfate-free hair products that have been made my hair feel this smooth and that have been easy to get through my hair. If you see this these products the next time you’re at the drugstore, you definitely need to pick them up!
