We were given a $100 credit for a course at Zaniac in exchange for this post. All opinions are mine alone.
My husband and I are always on the look out for new, fun ways to incorporate learning into activities. Our boys are very interested in math, science, and video games. I am all for fostering their interests!
That’s why we’re so excited about a new learning center in Cary called Zaniac Learning. It is actually opening this weekend, January 21, in Cary’s Parkside Town Commons. Zaniac specializes in K-8 learning with courses such as LEGO™ Robotics, 3D printing and Minecraft. Those who register their child during the grand opening event can get a 25% discount on registration fees!
The owner is a local dad, who loved watching his son interact with STEM activities. He wanted to share their experiences with other parents and students!
Zaniac specializes in making learning feel like play with programs for students kindergarten through eighth grade, such as Zane Math, Robotics: LEGO™, Game-Based Learning: Minecraft, 3D Printing and Computer Programming. The new location will be bright and colorful, with glass-walled classrooms, white boards and large media screens. The courses will be taught by highly-qualified instructors in high school, college and graduate school with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and math. Local owners CJ Bouchard and Joe Pepe are excited to bring this to the Triangle area, and Joe’s brother, Matt, will serve as the campus’ day-to-day operations manager.
“My son has been involved with STEM learning from a young age, and his eagerness inspired me to get more involved in the STEM community,” said CJ Bouchard, local owner. “That’s exactly why I want to bring Zaniac to the area – to offer parents and students alike more opportunities in STEM and grant them greater access to different learning methods and curricula.”
Zaniac campuses are bright and colorful, featuring glass-walled classrooms with white boards and large multimedia screens. The company provides a host of STEM learning programs that make math and science fun for kids while preparing them for 21st century jobs. Zaniac plans to reach 50 campuses by the end of 2017.
