I was sent these products free from Influenster. All opinions are mine alone.
One of my favorite lip product brands is Bite Beauty. I discovered them on YouTube a few years ago, and the first lipstick I ever bought was the Luminous Creme Lip Color in Fig. It is easily my most-used color, since it’s a pinky nude that goes with everything. Sadly, my Fig lipstick has gone missing. It’s probably stuck in a purse in my closet. Also sadly, Bite Beauty does not make the Luminous Creme line anymore.
Last year, they came out with a new line called Amuse Bouche. As far as formulation, they are similar. I do find that I need less of the Amuse Bouche. In fact, a little goes a long way. If I apply too heavy a layer, the lipstick kind of moves around on my lips and looks patchy.
Recently, Bite Beauty released a new lip pencil. The Lip Pencil is exclusive to Sephora, and it costs $18. They have a wide range of colors, and they are all gorgeous. The pencil is a wooden barrel, and the formula contains shea butter plus three times the normal amount of pigment. Bite Beauty’s goal was to create a creamy and weightless lip pencil.
Along with the lip pencils, they sent over two mini Amuse Bouche lip colors that compliment the pencils. I have the lip pencils in 020 and 044, and the Amuse Bouche lip colors are Honeycomb and Whiskey. First, I have to say that the Amuse Bouche formula is wonderful. I love that the formula goes a long way, and the selection of colors is varied. The two colors they sent me are very pretty; although, the darker color will have to be mixed with a lighter color for it to be appropriate for everyday.
I don’t use lip pencils all the time, but when I do I want them to be creamy and pigmented. These lip pencils are so satisfying. It barely takes any time at all to fill in my lips, which I attribute to the shea butter. I could even wear the lip pencil by itself or with some gloss. As far as wear time, it definitely kept my lipstick on longer. It didn’t have an all-day level of wear time, but it definitely lasted until lunch.
Since I love Bite Beauty products so much, I filmed a swatch video of all the colors I own. The video is at the end of this post.
