To my husband and kids, there is nothing better than homemade chicken nuggets. I’ve been making our chicken nuggets for years, ever since our boys started at a school that allowed us to send their own hot lunches. I love cooking for my family, and homemade meals almost always tend to taste the best. Some weeks, I make a large batch of these chicken nuggets and freezer a portion. And other weeks, I make a batch that gets devoured (like this one).
If your kids are like mine, ketchup is a must for chicken nugget night. Our favorite ketchup is French’s. It tastes the best but it also doesn’t contain any high fructose corn syrup. We try to avoid high fructose corn syrup as much as possible. In my opinion, it’s important to avoid unnecessary sweetness in our food. We prefer real food, like real tomatoes and real sugar in our French’s ketchup.
To make it even better, French’s is donating 10 million meals in 2017 through a partnership with Feeding America. I love that we can purchase good food from a brand that is doing great things in our communities!
Homemade Chicken Nuggets
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, trimmed and cubed
4 eggs, beaten
3 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
3 cups grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter, melted on parchment paper-covered baking sheet
Spicy Nugget Dip
1/2 cup French’s Ketchup
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp hot barbecue sauce
1. Heat oven to 400°F.
1. Working slowly and using a fork, dip each chicken breast cube in this order: parmesan cheese, egg, and lastly bread crumps. Do this to each chicken breast cube, placing it on the buttery parchment paper covered baking sheet.
2. Place baking sheet in oven and set for 15 minutes. Flip chicken nuggest. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
3. Let cool and enjoy with the spicy nugget dip!
To make the dip:
Combine all three ingredients in a small bowl. It’s that easy! We like our nugget dip spicy, but our kids love to simply dip their chicken nuggets in French’s ketchup. 🙂
It’s so convenient to pick it up when I’m grocery shopping. I find it at Walmart.
Now that I’ve shared my favorite spicy nugget dip, what’s your favorite way to use French’s ketchup?
