Skincare is probably my favorite beauty category to talk about. Having problematic skin has a lot to do with it. When I started investing in my skincare a few years ago, the first product I purchased was eye cream. To be honest, I wasn’t convinced that eye cream would actually make a difference in my skin, so I bought the first one I saw at the drugstore.
Long story short, the eye cream completely amazed me. My skin felt so healthy and moisturized, and it even looked smoother. I’ve been using eye cream ever since. Sometimes I use something that’s high-end and fancy, but most of the time I use one of my faves from the drug store. Wherever I can save money, I can!
So, today I want to share my three favorite eye creams from the drugstore!
Say Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment, $15.99 for 0.5 oz/15 ml
This is the first eye cream I ever used, and my first impression of it really stuck with me. My under eye area really feels firm when I use this. It doesn’t have any added fragrance, but it does have a natural scent that completely dissipates when you apply it. It contains a ton of really great natural ingredients, the most notably ingredients being blueberries (duh) and paracress flower. It also contains aloe vera juice, which is very soothing for the skin. It is on the pricier side of skincare for the drugstore, but it is completely worth it. I also love the packaging, which is a pump. It dispenses the perfect amount of eye cream.
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream, $18 for 0.5 oz/10 g
If you have dry skin, you really should check this one out. This not only helps with dry skin, but it also prevents wrinkles. It feels amazing on my skin. It’s not greasy and it absorbs quickly. Again, it is on the pricier side. I would never feature an expensive product if I didn’t think it’s worth it. I’ve used so many Burt’s Bees products that are so lovely, and this eye cream is no exception. The only downside is the packaging, because it squirts out a little too much. I just have to be careful when I dispense the product.
Acure Eye Cream, $12.99 for 1 oz/30 ml
This is my newest eye cream to try. The Acure brand is relatively new to me. I’ve been using their facial scrub for a year or two, and it’s amazing. The facial scrub contains chlorella, which is also in this eye cream. Chlorella deeply moisturizes your skin. It also contains edelweiss extract, a potent antioxidant from the edelweiss flower (Sound of Music, anyone?).
